System Audit to Eliminate Post Go Live Stalling
Client: Commodity Goods manufacturer with Global
Operations in USA,Mexico and China.
Challenge: SAP system Stall after Go-Live
Solution:
SAP is implemented with the basic logistics modules. Two months
after go live the Customer stopped using SAP due to Incorrect planning,
procurement and the confusions related to cross functional issues.
A complete system audit was done to identify the Critical problem
areas. The master data and integration aspects of all the SAP processes
were scrutinized in relation to the Clients business needs. These
were then identified as Design, Training and Data issues. A Short
term and Long term strategy was formulated for structured design
modifications without disrupting the existing business. The organization
structure was modified by eliminations of redundant plants to streamline
planning and reduce the transaction volume.Further fixes involved
changes to Availability Check Logic, MRP planning,Shopfloor Backflushing
and Master Data Cleansing.Later this was followed up with extensive
training . The entire project was accomplished in a record time
of 9 weeks to the complete satisfaction of the client.
